My own view is that the stock market is likely to become very fragile in 2008, and go into meltdown in late 2008 with this trend extending into 2009 and reaching an unpredented global crisis in August 2010. The period 2010 – 2012 represents a dangerous crisis characterized by new power alignments and economic depression. New economic paradigms are likely to emerge in tandem with geo-political power shifts. The potential for military conflict is very high.
November 4 is a day when a number of powerful planetary cycles interest. Together these cycles suggest sudden and unexpected developments that will shock the public. There is also a strong suggestion of a hidden influence emerging to sway public opinion. That this date happens to coincide with Election Day in the US is cause for concern.
The end of December 2008 sees the beginning of a time of transformation and change for the US establishment. This is a time of fundamental and deep change in regard to how the country is governed. Events at this time are precipitous and threaten the US leadership. This emergency extends through to September 2009, and has its roots in issues of financial control and the exercise of hidden power. Expect a major upheaval and revelations of betrayal with little regard for the democratic process.
In early March 2009 the course of economic events and pressure from powerful vested interests apply pressure to change the course of government policy and perhaps the government itself. Much of what Americans hold dear is now at risk. Foreign allies are in crisis and may switch allegiance. This is the beginning of a great crisis for the US which will extend until the end of 2015. There is every possibility that in the period from March 2009 to the end of 2010 America will find itself in a position where it is unable to pay its debts. During this period there is the danger that America will ‘go broke’.
From April 2010 to December 2011 the crisis in the US deepens further. Outside of the US the world is going through a time of exceptional tension with the possibility of military conflict escalating. The US is likely to find itself seriously weakened at the same time that these external problems emerge. The US itself is undergoing its greatest crisis from 2009 – 2015.
The planetary cycles suggest that the US is likely to go through a process of economic destruction and a deep purging from 2009 – 2015. New economic powerbrokers and conglomerates will emerge. There is the danger that a new power group will emerge within the US and assert its influence with scant regard to the democratic process. The US will change fundamentally and then go through a period of rebirth and renewal. We will have to wait until 2020 before the US again becomes a great power.
Expect mergers, takeovers, and new powerful conglomerates to join forces. An early indicator of new economic paradigms is ‘peer-to-peer’ lending, where people are beginning to bypass the banks, using the internet.
At the time of writing in Australia we have the proposed merger between the mining giants BHP and Rio Tinto making the headlines. Their merger would produce one of the largest mining giants to strut the earth’s stage. Of great interest in Australia is whether China would seek to purchase a controlling stake in the proposed conglomerate, and thereby extend its reach into this part of the world. The political stakes and risks would present an enormous challenge to the newly installed Labor government.
The End of Globalisation
The sign of Sagittarius is associated with ‘free flow’ without restraint or barriers. Freedom of movement is essential to this sign.
The planet Pluto (and it is a planet in spite of the pronouncements of astronomers) is associated with powerful undercurrents and fundamental shifts which transform and overwhelm existing structures.
From 1996 until 2007 Pluto was on the sign of Sagittarius. The result of this coming together of this planet and sign was a world transformed by the free flow of people across the globe. ‘Globalisation’ was the catch-cry. Whole markets were transformed and relocated.
The Establishment of New Barriers
At the end of 2007 Pluto moved in Capricorn. Capricorn is associated with the establishment, with containment, status, power and authority.
According to astrology, we have now reached the end of globalisation. We are entering an historical period when barriers and walls are erected to keep out and protect the state from foreigners and those who appear to threaten the ‘status quo’. This situation will prevail until June 2023 when Pluto enters the sign of Aquarius.
